Recommendations to the client after lash extensions
Eyelash extensions are one of the most sought-after beauty treatments nowadays. Every lady wants to have beautiful eyelashes without wasting time and money in applying and buying makeup. The truth is, however, that very few people know how to care for and maintain their lashes after they have been extended. When you come in for your appointment, we’ll give you detailed guidance, but here are the most important things to do and not to do if you want your lashes to look perfect until your next maintenance appointment.
1. During the first 48 hours after application, avoid saunas, swimming pools and keep away from heat and moisture. High temperature and moisture can affect the adhesive and weaken its effect.
2. Try not to touch them, especially in the first few hours. The more you touch, the more natural oil from your fingers will get on them, which can reduce the effect of the glue. Do not pull or try to remove your extensions yourself, as this risks damaging and falling out your natural lashes.
3. Make sure to use oil-free products on your face, especially makeup removers and cleansers. Also avoid waterproof makeup, especially eye pencils and eyeliners. Don’t use mascara – after all, the beauty of eyelash extensions is that you have gorgeous, long, thick lashes without having to wear mascara!
4. The best way to maintain eyelash extensions is to keep them clean and combed. Eyelash cleansing shampoo is the perfect remedy for this. You can purchase the Criteria shampoo from our studio.
5. All the tips we mentioned are very important, but this one is the most important of all! Stick to your maintenance hours every two or three weeks. This will help keep your eyelash extensions beautiful and your natural lashes healthy. The longer you put off maintenance, the more your natural lashes will grow, which means your extensions will get heavier. If you wait too long, you may have to completely remove your extensions and put new ones in.
